Use these points to prepare drawings, samples and application details before requesting a custom spring quote.
What files should I send for a custom spring RFQ?
Send PDF, DWG, DXF or STEP files when available. If no drawing exists, send photos, key dimensions, material, wire diameter, quantity and the assembly application.
Which spring types can be reviewed?
Compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs, wire forms, retaining rings, spring clips, special shaped springs, battery contact springs, flat springs and small precision springs can be reviewed from drawing or sample.
What inspection items can be planned?
Typical review items include wire diameter, outside diameter, free length, formed features, load at working height, torque angle, life-test needs and batch documentation.
Can drawings be reviewed before production?
Yes. Drawings, samples, material notes, quantity targets and application requirements can be reviewed before quotation, sampling and production planning.
